To reach THE ARCHIPELAGO from Yilan Transfer Station, you have several options:
Taxis and rental cars are also available at Yilan Railway Station or Yilan Transfer Station, with a driving time of about 15-20 minutes.
By Train: Take the Taiwan Railway from Yilan Station to Toucheng Station. Trains run every 30 minutes, and the journey takes approximately 16 minutes. From Toucheng Station, THE ARCHIPELAGO is a short taxi ride away.
By Bus: From Yilan Transfer Station, you can take the Kuo-Kuang Bus (Route 1790) to Toucheng. Buses operate every 4 hours, and the journey takes about 35 minutes.
By Taxi: Direct taxis are available from Yilan Transfer Station to THE ARCHIPELAGO, covering the 15 km distance in approximately 15 minutes.
Yilan information

Taoyuan International Airport
Taoyuan International Airport is the main gateway to Taiwan. From the airport, you can take the High-Speed Rail (HSR) or the Taoyuan Metro (MRT) to Taipei, the capital, for convenient transportation.
High-Speed Rail (HSR)
Take the commuter train (MRT) from A12 Airport Terminal 1 Station (or A13 Airport Terminal 2 Station) to A18 Taoyuan HSR Station, which takes approximately 20 minutes. From there, you can board the High-Speed Rail (HSR) to Taipei Main Station.
Taoyuan Metro (MRT)
Follow the signs to the Taoyuan Metro station. Board the Taoyuan Airport MRT at A12 Airport Terminal 1 Station or A13 Airport Terminal 2 Station and travel to A1 Taipei Main Station. You can choose between two train services: the Express Train, which offers faster service, and the Commuter Train, which stops at all stations.
Taipei Main Station
Taipei Main Station is an underground union station shared by major transportation services: Taiwan Railway, Taiwan High Speed Rail, Taipei Metro, and Taoyuan Metro. Passengers can easily access trains, high-speed rail, MRT, as well as various bus services at the station.
Taiwan Railway
You can purchase railway tickets either on Taiwan Railway APP or at the ticket counters located on the first floor of Taipei Main Station. After purchasing your ticket, head to the underground levels where the platforms are located to board your train to Yilan Railway Station. There are several types of trains available, including the Taroko Express and Puyuma Express, which offer faster travel times compared to other services.
Bus
The Taipei Main station is connected to the Taipei Bus Station via an underground passage. You can purchase tickets on the first floor of Bus Station and board your bus on the corresponding floor. Four bus companies—Kamalan Bus, Kuo-Kuang Motor Transportation, Metropolitan Transport, and Capital Star Bus—offer services to the Yilan Transfer Station.
Yilan Railway Station
Yilan Railway Station is a key transportation hub situated in Yilan City, the capital of Yilan County in northeastern Taiwan. As a gateway to this scenic and culturally rich region, the station is an integral part of the Taiwan Railway Administration's (TRA) Yilan Line, which links Taipei to Taiwan's eastern coast.

Yilan Transfer Station

Located about 10 minutes walk from the Yilan Railway Station. The station is a major stop for several prominent bus companies, including Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport, Capital Bus, UBus, and Kamalan Bus, each offering a range of services that connect Yilan with other cities and towns. The Yilan Transfer Station also provides easy access to nearby areas, such as popular tourist spots like the Jimmy Park, Lanyang Museum, or the Jiaoxi Hot Springs.
Toucheng Station, located at No. 59, Zuanxiang Road, Toucheng Township, Yilan County, is a significant railway station on the Taiwan Railways Administration's Yilan Line.
The station features both island and side platforms, providing convenient services for passengers. In 2016, Toucheng Station underwent a comprehensive renovation, enhancing its facilities to include electronic ticket gates and accessibility features, thereby improving the quality of service for travelers.
The surrounding area boasts attractions such as Toucheng Old Street and Wushi Harbor, offering visitors opportunities to explore the rich history and culture of Toucheng Township. The station is equipped with multiple electronic ticketing systems and accessibility facilities, including ramps and elevators, ensuring convenience for all passengers.
Wushi Harbor Bus Station
You can take the Taipei Metro Bannan Line or Wenhu Line to Nangang Exhibition Center Station, then transfer to the 1877 bus route directly to Wushi Harbor Bus Station. THE ARCHIPELAGO is located nearby.
